With smartphones and tablets, the days of pad and paper are long gone.

Mobile apps will help you stay connected and organized, two priorities during Dreamforce. Here is a list of top apps you should download and be familiar with before the event:

Dreamforce – This private app is only open to Dreamforce registrants and includes a built-in Chatter function. To access the HTML5 app, go to Dreamforce.com/login on your Web browser.

Evernote – This free app will help you organize notes and to-do lists from each session, then share them with colleagues and sync them with your laptop or desktop computer. Each note also can include an attachment and/or audio note.

Wi-Fi Finder – Quickly and easily find free and paid wi-fi hotspots around San Francisco through this free app.

Foursquare – Find friends, colleagues, customers and partners at nearby restaurants and bars for more networking opportunities.

Turboscan – Scan receipts for expense reporting, then email them to yourself or upload them to Evernote or Dropbox. $1.99.

Cardmunch – Scan and organize business cards and connect with new contacts through the app’s LinkedIn integration. No more need to store paper cards in your wallet.

iTalk – Easily record audio of each session so you can share it with colleagues attending other sessions or back in the office.

Yelp – Get the scoop on nearby restaurants, entertainment and attractions.
